Excellent Quality Moth Balls

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thank you, Enoz and Influenster, for letting me try an 8oz. pouch of Enoz Moth Balls in exchange for my sincere review. My grandma always used Moth balls everywhere in her home. The smell never fails to remind me of her. I swear, she had them in every cabinet, closet, nook, and cranny. \n\nI personally do not use Moth balls in the same fashion as my grandmother. I view them as poison, and I treat them as such, which means kinda far away from the things I hold near and dear.\n\nHowever, I still find them to be a vital solution to a good number of problems. Personally, I use them for rodent prevention. We've had a few mice sneak into our older home in the furnace room. I placed this pouch near the spot where I suspect they gained entry. So far, there have been no further issues. And no moths, either!!\n\nI love the convenience of the pouch. It makes it super easy to handle the Moth balls and place the product where you need it. These moth balls seem to be of excellent quality. I would purchase these again. I would definitely recommend them to all the grandmas out there... and to you, too!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have collected many wool sweaters, jackets, and winter wear that don’t often get worn throughout the seasons. I found that using moth balls protected my clothes from being damaged by moths and the holes and tears left behind. I keep my out-of-season wool clothes in my garage closet and placed some Enoz Moth Balls in a plastic bag inside a storage container. It still had the traditional mothball smell yet it worked effectively to mitigate moths from damaging my woolen items.\r\nEnoz moth balls were packaged for easy use and placement. I placed the mothballs in tightly lidded storage bins containing my wool sweaters. I was careful not to overuse the mothballs to create any unpleasant odors. Enoz Moth Balls come in individual 8oz packages which makes it extremely easy to use and place in multiple containers or closets. It works very effectively and I give the Enoz Moth Balls a 5-STAR Rating.

These have a much stronger smell than the last mothballs I bought (different brand, different store) but that's a good thing for what I use them for ...repelling spiders!!!\nBut seriously; there's a big gap in the wall underneath my kitchen sink cabinet where the plumbing pipe goes (see picture) and the spiderzillas come in (it's an old house) so I had opened the pack, dropped 2 balls in there and jeezy weezy, the smell was so strong that even though for 24 hours I had the adjacent window open, the exhaust fan on my stove going, and cross ventilation from my open bathroom window.. three days later I can still smell them as I stand at the sink to do the dishes! Not nearly as much as initially, but still ...and may I add that I'm not sensitive to smells at ALL \n\nHaven't seen any spiders either, so there's that..\n\nHowever, I sincerely recommend that you have good air circulation when placing the mothballs (especially if you have asthma or COPD) until the smell levels out, and do NOT use the whole unopened pack in an enclosed space like a closet ...open the pack and just use ONE per closet! Please! Ignore the label that suggests it's a "single use" product by saying it's a no-touch inner pouch--- open it and only use one or two balls at the most per space, FR

We've been using these ever since moving to a place on the ocean to protect against mildew and we really like them. I've tried the lavender but actually like the cedar scent better. Both are very pleasant and not overbearing at all. The paper wrap means you can just toss it into the back of a shelf or place it anywhere in a pile of clothing. They do disintegrate within weeks (the mothball, not the paper) so it's a good idea to keep extras on hand. I prefer the 12 oz. size because that bag is resealable, but the 6 oz. size can easily be used up at one time. Great for placing among swimsuits, sweaters, jeans, linens, in shoes or sneakers, and even among books or papers, under sofa cushions, and on pantry shelves. Very convenient to use, no mess and no unpleasant mothball odor.

It works very well if used correctly. In an enclosed space. i.e. if you put them in with clothes in an air tight container. Otherwise, this is a dangerous chemical that can cause cancer, cataracts and various other illnesses. There is not sufficient warning on the packages of this. We bought it because it was a suggested Rat deterrent for our attic. After everyone began getting headaches within an hour of use, we looked online to find a ton of information saying it is not safe to use except in airtight containers, which is not how most people plan to use it. Be aware!\n\nThat being said... there are rats in the attic anymore, nor moths, which are common in our area and get into everything. But remember, you cant use this in a trunk, a closet or a drawer. It is not safe for humans or pets to inhale the vapors that are constantly released from these balls. Must be used in AIR TIGHT CONTAINERS. We still cant get the smell out of our house, even after removing them from the attic.

These have numerous uses other than just in Grandma's closet's. I use them to rid the outer perimeter of my home of mice, bugs, and other unwanted critters. Works like a charm. It has rid my home of field mice on several occasions. I just use latex gloves to put them in the dirt around my home and viola. Or, place sparsely behind cabinets, inside drawers and maybe one down a vent/duct work, just in case.\nBEWARE: Don't let “wanted” critters, pets and children near them, as this is a pesticide. It could and would make them ill, if ingested. \nP.S. Don't use too many otherwise your home may smell like mothballs. A single mothball per 5-6 feet outside is more than plenty.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Enoz Old Fashioned Moth Balls haven't changed over the years, they are still a great product to protect clothing, as they kill clothes moths, carpet beetles, their eggs and larvae. The box I purchased contained two single use packets. Each package is designed to allow air to flow through so active ingredients can sublimate, this also keeps you from having to touch the moth ball as in previous packaging. Mothballs contain Naphthalene, a petroleum byproduct, they aren't meant to be used as an air freshener in a closed environment. These mothball remain a great product tht does the job they are meant to do..

I use moth balls all over my yard to deter dogs and cats that being allowed by their owners to roam free and not on a leash to keep them off my property. I get tired of having to clean up other peoples animals bathroom remains.\nThe Moth Balls are great as the animals do not like the smell of them as it messes up their sense abilities. It does work and I do not need to clean as many piles. They normally last two to three months if placed every 14” to 16” along your property line and then intermixed in the lawn. The Moth Balls have not hurt or burned my lawn.\nI find its better using the moth balls than getting into arguments with my neighbors.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Enoz old fashioned moth balls are great at keeping moths out of our shed and attic storage. They are powerfully strong. I appreciate how simple they are to use. But I wish they came in smaller packs for smaller containers. It would cover more storage more easily. We live near the woods and get so many types of moths all year. So far they have been a very effective way to keep them out all summer. My husband's weekly pest check became that much simpler. I didn't realize the difference these would make and really am glad to have them. They save us time and worry.

Effective product. (These things work!) I just found that the content of one bag is a way too much for comfort. Very strong smell... of course, as it is expected from naphthalene. But it's a bit too much in one bag and if used entirely (in one closet), the bag will literally stink the whole room, even when linens are packed in containers. Exposure to naphtalene can be harmful to humans. So I broke the bags into smaller amounts (purchased some fabric pouches for this).

Since then I haven't seen any signs of larvae or holes in our clothes, unfortunately I'm very familiar with the damage they're able to do, they ruined my husband's suit leaving little holes as you can see in my pic as well as other clothing. I'm grateful I found a solution using Enoz mothballs! I'm highly recommending Enoz mothballs for effectively deterring unwanted pests!

Plus, they're a safe and humane option for keeping pests at bay. Highly recommend these moth balls for anyone dealing with similar nuisance animals!

I put them in my cedar chest where I have antique linens that I don't want destroyed or disintegrated by moths or silverfish. I've always used them, but these are more pleasant than the old ones. The smell does dissipate after you take the item out and let it air out. This is just insect protection. \n
